How it works

Choose from one of our simple and cost effective ways of letting your property and save hundreds on extortionate high street estate agency fees. Both package options benefit from the same dedicated service by our professional and experienced lettings team however, one is a discounted upfront payment and the other is an affordable and inexpensive payment upon completion. Either package can be instructed online by emailing info@moveonline.com or by telephoning us personally on 01702 716500.
As soon as we have received your chosen instructions we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange for our experienced lettings property agent to carry out a home visit. We do not outsource our agents and they are employed solely by MOVE online. Once at the property we will compile a detailed write up of particulars and take professional, and property enhancing photographs maximizing your property’s potential.
Collectively we will agree on a marketing price and discuss in detail the best marketing strategy that meets your requirements. Once everything is confirmed we will then upload the data to ALL of the leading and major property websites including Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime Location and many others. We will then arrange for a To Let board and have this erected in a suitable location.
Potential tenants are always qualified and names, addresses and contact details are noted. We arrange and accompany all viewings and do not consider DSS or tenants in receipt of housing benefit unless otherwise instructed. Equally we do not consider tenants that have pets unless otherwise instructed too. Viewings are arranged by telephone or email and confirmed in the same manner or by text message.
All viewings are followed up within 24/48 hours along with the viewer’s valuable feedback. Regular updates are also essential and will be periodically made. Once we have negotiated the very best rent, and move in date, we undertake detailed referencing which includes a credit report, previous landlord reference and an employment reference. If instructed, during this time we will arrange for an Energy Performance Certificate, Gas Safety Certificate, Inventory/Schedule of Condition and any other mandatory requirements that are necessary.
Once we have obtained satisfactory references, we will then arrange for the drafting of the tenancy. This is usually for an initial period of six months and can be renewed thereafter on either a six or twelve month basis. We will then request from the tenant the first month’s rent in advance, along with a month’s security deposit and, once cleared funds have been received, the tenancy and Standing Order for future rental payments will then both be signed and at this point we will hand over the keys.
Once completion takes place and the tenancy has begun, we will arrange for the register of the deposit with the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), package up all related documents which will include a statement of account, and these will be forwarded onto you for your records. We will also arrange for the collection of the Let By board if necessary.
